1000 Mile Seltzer Summer

A big challenge, with no fanfare on social media.

Someone’s always taking photos at NYC run clubs and events. It’s a space that’s heavily occupied by brands and social media. But in the summer of 2020, a group of guys decided to run a thousand miles without any fanfare. I found out about it in 2021 and decided to capture what it was about.

Tagging along made me more stoked about the sport, but it also made me question the nature of what I was capturing. Does this “content” help anyone? How much more of it do we need? These guys didn’t need to consume content to go run 1,000 miles.
